Navarre Garden Club installs new officers

NAVARRE — The Navarre Garden Club installed its 2016-2017 officers during the May luncheon at the Hidden Creek Country Club. 

Newly elected officers are: Marian Rushmeyers, president; Janet Chapman, first vice president; Renee Meyers, second vice president; Nancy Kaszya, secretary; and Lisa Hudson, treasurer. These officers will lead the garden club during the coming year's activities.

The Navarre Garden Club has served the Navarre area since 1975. The club has many events during the year for its members and the local community. It promotes education and community service through gardening.

Club members take a summer hiatus to tend their gardens and prepare for the upcoming year. Before that hiatus, the club with host a garden tour and flower show in June.

The first club activity in August will be a New Members Tea for members and prospective members.
