Dear editor,
Because I know from whence cometh criticism, I refuse to engage in a “back and forth” with Presley Harper (who wrote a letter to the editor in the April 27-29 edition), but I just couldn’t resist commenting, not normally responding to criticism.
His letter smacks of sour grapes to me.
He’s probably upset because I defended Walter Gordon, a Pensacola News Journal letter-writer who mentioned Obama’s czars. Accusing Gordon of innuendo, he demanded proof. On March 16, 2016, I gave it to him: “All The President’s Czars” by David A. Patten, Newsmax, December 2009.
I saved that magazine, intending to comment thereon. Volunteer activities and community service precluded doing so until Harper challenged Gordon. God knew I’d need that magazine seven years later to defend Gordon. Like Jerry Clower, I say, “Ain’t God good!”
A local fearless God and country patriot, whom I admire, gave me the page 261 of Obama’s book information! America needs more like (him). Perhaps reading his books will reveal where Obama declared, “I’ll stand with the Muslims.”
Quite believable — Obama’s actions over the years confirm to me he would! He’s passive, a habitual apologizer!
When an African-American was elected president, I was thrilled, thinking only in America! Obama’s been a disappointment, sad to say.
I voted twice for Alan Keyes, a black, God-fearing, Christ-honoring man. I heard him speak at a rally in Montgomery for Judge Roy Moore, a Godly judge, defender of the 10 commandments monument! Keyes would have made an excellent commander-In-chief!
Harper trusts snopes.com, RumorChecking.org and TruthorFiction.com. They could be political concoctions so that anyone who could create a “so-called fact” had a place to post it!
I trust my source who gives me truth, for He is absolute truth! He gives me articles understandable by many empowering them to discern, recognize from whence they cometh and are blessed! Hallelujah!
By the way, a televised D.C. event was where I learned Valerie Jarrett was born in Iran. It’s entirely conceivable she, many, or even all born in Iran are Muslims. As is common in Europe, my parents became Greek Orthodox just because they were born in Greece.
I wouldn’t put it past the domineering Iranian Ayatollah to decree all born in Iran be Muslims.
Thank God, there are gentle American Muslims. One I admire is Dr. Zuhdi Jasser. He has such a sweet spirit and served in our American military. A frequent TV contributor, he gives input on current events — a real blessing, unlike radical Islamists terrorizing the world. The latter are definitely candidates for extinction!
My choice, Trump, will take no stuff from ISIS and their ilk. Americans need to unite to defeat the world’s enemies: radical Islamists.
Because Harper appears to want to shut my mouth about God, Jesus, and the Bible, greatest book ever written, never to be superseded, he needs to know what “God hath opened, no many can shut!”
