PACE — Pace High School’s Student Government Association raised almost $150 for cancer research during an April 28 kickball tournament.

Six teams, each paying $24 to enter the tournament on the school’s softball field, participated in the event, according to SGA member Colt Jenkins.

Jenkins said the idea came from a relative who organized a similar  tournament in another state.

The proceeds will benefit cancer research through Baptist Health Care in Pensacola.
