Milton, Gulf Breeze termite seminars set April 19, 20

MILTON — Homeowners can learn how to combat Formosan termite damage during an upcoming seminar.

The Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services and University of Florida Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences Extension will provide two opportunities:

●6-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 19 at the Santa Rosa County Extension Office, 6263 Dogwood Drive, Milton

●6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 20 at Pensacola State College, Room 5131, 5075 Gulf Breeze Parkway, Gulf Breeze

Topics will include:

●Formosan termite biology, including simple ways to identity these insects

●Available Formosan termite pest control protection for you home

●Identifying and fixing weaknesses in and around your home

Formosan termites annually cause over $1 billion of damage in the United States, and the Gulf Coast is a known hot spot for this invasive pest.
