Students demonstrate poise under pressure during Miss Central pageant

MILTON — This past weekend’s Miss Central Pageant produced four overall winners.

Little Miss Central is Natalie Bush; Junior Miss Central, Brooke Jay; Miss Central, Jacklynn Jernigan; and Petite Miss Central, Maggie Rose White.

The “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun”-themed pageant was held Saturday, April 2 in the Central School cafeteria and was sponsored by Central School SGA.

There were four age divisions, including Central students from prekindergarten to 12th grade. 

Contestants competed in two segments: Outfit of Choice and Beauty. In the Outfit of Choice segment, the girls could wear any outfit they felt was stylish, fun and girly. In the Beauty segment, the young ladies wore formal gowns and had to show their poise under pressure by answering an interview question.
