NAVARRE — The Santa Rosa County Tourist Development Office’s event/marketing grant application cycle will close May 31.
Up to $5,000 of grant funding is available per recipient through the program. The application is available at the Tourist Development Office, 8543 Navarre Parkway in Navarre.
The program’s goal is to increase out-of-market awareness of Santa Rosa County as a tourism destination, and to provide funding assistance for events that attract overnight visitors, affecting hoteliers, campgrounds and condominiums, as well as restaurants, retail establishments and other businesses, especially during the shoulder seasons.
"Through these grants, last year's recipients were able to help fund many of the festivals and events that draw tourists to Santa Rosa County, and help expand our tourism and economic development," said Julie Morgan, the Tourism Development Office’s director.
