MILTON — The Guy Thompson Center is expanding its offerings for health and fitness programs with the addition of tai chi, 9-9:45 a.m. Mondays.
Tai chi is an ancient art form of exercise described as meditative movement that can also help your stress level. It can help you achieve a state of physical and mental relaxation while strengthening cardiovascular and immune systems.
Students will go through a series of slow, graceful postures and bodily movements, which can have many more benefits for mature adults. And if you have joint or physical limitations, each movement can be modified.
The center is located at 5629 Byrom St., Milton. Classes are $5 each. You should consult with your physician before starting any exercise program.
