Easter is nigh and so are “Sonrise” services and Easter egg hunts. For those Santa Rosa County residents who haven’t yet decided what to do once the little ones have chewed off the ears of their chocolate bunnies, the following is a list of several activities going on this Easter weekend.

Saturday, March 26

  • Community Easter Egg Hunt – Join PSC for a day of fun with booths, games, bouncers, and more.

Where: Pensacola State College, Milton campus

When: The event opens at 10 a.m.

Special Needs Hunt – 11:00 a.m.

Preschool Kids Hunt – 11:15 a.m.

K-2nd Grade Hunt – 11:30 a.m.

3rd-5th Grade Hunt – 11:45 a.m.

  • Christian Life Church Easter egg hunt – This community event is a wonderful time for both the children and adults. Take the time to invite a friend. Important rain notice: In the case of rain, the Easter egg hunt will take place in the children’s classrooms on Easter Sunday.

Where: Christian Life Church located at 4401 Avalon Boulevard

When: 11 a.m.

  • St. Rose of Lima Easter egg hunt for children ages 2 to 10

Where: St. Rose of Lima located at 6451 Park Avenue

When: 9:15 a.m.

  • Sims Middle School Easter egg hunt – Hosted by “The Prov,” this Easter egg hunt is for kids and adults, and features sack races, egg and spoon races, and an Easter service.

Where: 5500 Education Drive

When: 5 p.m.

Sunday, March 27

  •  Sonrise Service – Marcus Pointe Baptist Church presents the 2016 Community Sonrise Service. Come experience this unique service from inside Blue Wahoo Stadium in Downtown Pensacola. For more information, visit sSonRiseService.com.

When: 6:30 a.m.

  • Sunrise Prayer Service – Join Ferris Hill Baptist Church for a sunrise prayer service on Blackwater River.

Where: Riverwalk Pavilion

When: 7 a.m.
