Vendors sought for Riverwalk Market

The City of Milton Parks and Recreation Department is preparing for the second year of the Riverwalk Market along the Blackwater River and there are vendor spots still available.

Plans are to reopen the market area on April 8 from 6 to 9 p.m. and every Friday night from April through June.

The purpose of the Riverwalk Market is to allow area vendors to show off their wares and make them available for purchase by the public.

“This will be a great opportunity for people to market their fresh produce, art, baked goods, hand-crafted jewelry, candles, and many other wares,” said Milton Parks Department Special Events Coordinator Kyle Kemp. “What makes this an even more attractive event for vendors is the fact it will coincide with Bands on the Blackwater (which) will be just to the south of the vendor area and will give shoppers the opportunity to visit the booths as well as enjoy the live concerts downtown.

Kemp is currently talking with those who are interested in being a part of the Riverwalk Market and providing them with information on booth spaces and other rules regarding the market.

To aid Kemp, the Milton Parks Department has a Facebook page for the Riverwalk Market at https://www.facebook.com/RiverwalkMarket. On this site you can stay up to date on information regarding the Riverwalk Market as we near the date the market is expected to open.

For more information you can contact the Guy Thompson Community Center at 983-5466 or e-mail Kemp at kyle.kemp@ci.milton.fl.us.
