Knockerball Pensacola, in partnership with Pace High School Project Graduation, invites residents to come out for lots of fun with Knockerball, in which youth will be able to let loose.

There are several community events happening in Santa Rosa and Escambia Counties this upcoming weekend including the 22nd Annual ‘Gulf Breeze celebrates the Arts’ Festival, a Knockerball event in Pace, a family friendly event at Arcadia Mill, a ‘Touch-A-Truck’ event in Pensacola and a boater safety class in Milton.

22nd Annual ‘Gulf Breeze celebrates the Arts’ Festival

On Saturday and Sunday, Gulf Breeze is hosting their annual art festival at the Gulf Breeze High School parking lot from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday and from 10 a.m.  to 5 p.m. on Sunday. The event is hosting more than 150 nationwide artists, according to the city’s chamber of commerce website. The juried, fine arts and crafts festival is open to the community and will include entertainment and food. Proceeds from the festival will benefit a college level art scholarship and donations to the local school art program. Arcadia Mill: Arts and Crafts

With St. Patrick’s Day just around the corner, young residents will have to the opportunity to ‘Make Your Own Pot of Gold’ during Saturday’s Arts and Crafts event at the Arcadia Mill site, 5709 Mill Pond Lane in Milton. The event, which will take place in a classroom setting, is scheduled to take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. All materials are provided and each activity is estimated to take place for at least 30 minutes.  All participants must be accompanied by a parent, legal guardian or adult. ‘Touch-A-Truck’ event in Pensacola

Children will have the opportunity to get behind the wheel of a fire engine, police, military and construction vehicles and more during Saturday’s ‘Touch-A-Truck’ event at the Community Maritime Park in Pensacola, located on W. Main Street. The event, sponsored by Pensacola’s Parks and Recreation Department along other area organizations and businesses, will include IBounce houses, costumed characters, food vendors,  DJ music, a bicycle safety course along with the Emerald Coast Kite Flyers. The event, which is free to attend, will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The Blue Wahoos Stadium will also be hosting a charity softball game hosted by the Pensacola Police Department and the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office starting at 9 a.m. The fundraising event will benefiting the Krewe du YaYa’s Keeping Abreast Foundation which provides funding for early detection, advocacy, education and support services for those affected by breast cancer, according to the playpensacola.com.

Boater Safety Class in Milton

The Milton Fire Department, located at 5321 Stewart Street, will be hosting a boater safety class through the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 18 or ‘The Guardian of the Blackwater’ on Saturday. Starting at 9 a.m. The eight hour course will cover basic legal requirements for boaters, boating safety, elements of boat handling, as well as how to handle some common boating emergencies, according to a press release. An examination at the end of the class and a passing score makes the boater eligible for a State of Florida Boating ID card, a requirement for boaters born on or after January 1, 1988 to operate a boat in state waters. ‘Knockerball’ a project graduation fundraiser for Pace High School

 Knockerball Pensacola in partnership with Pace High School Project Graduation invites residents to come out for lots of fun with Knockerball. For $10 per person to get in the large inflatable ball. The event, located at the PARA baseball fields at 5976 Chumuckla Highway in Pace, will take place from 8 a.m. until 4p.m. For more information please call Marcus at 288-1035.
