Aubrianna Thurman of TR Jackson Pre-K hands a handmade dog biscuit to a dog at the Santa Rosa County Animal Shelter on Friday as part of the school’s recent ‘Read Across America’ event. Students learned about community awareness from a local veterinarian along with baking and delivering dog biscuits to animals at the animal shelter and the Ark Animal Hospital in Pace.
