The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an altercation between two groups in which three individuals were stabbed and one individual was arrested in an unrelated narcotics charge.
On Sunday afternoon, deputies responded to battery complaint near the Interstate 10 overpass of exit 28 in Milton which was called in by a passing motorist.
A press release from the sheriff’s office said several deputies responded to an ongoing altercation between two groups of individuals, who were each seeking retribution for unknown reasons. The two groups located each other when the altercation occurred. Three individuals were stabbed and sustained non-life threatening injuries. The individuals were taken to area hospitals and were subsequently released.
Milton resident Amber McDuffie, 20, was arrested on the unrelated narcotics charges and taken to the Santa Rosa County Jail. McDuffie has since been released.
No other charges have been filed in this matter at this time as the investigation is still ongoing.
