With Valentine’s Day Sunday, residents have more options than just having dinner and seeing a movie. On Saturday morning, residents are invited to the Valentine outdoor event with the Blackwater Trail Antiques and More in Milton where couple can get more than a few gift ideas.

Valentine Outdoor Event at Blackwater Trail Antiques and More

If you are still looking to get your significant other more than just a Valentine’s Day card or a heart-shaped box of chocolates, the Blackwater Trail Antiques and More in Milton will have their outdoor sales event on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  The event, located at 6705 Berryhill Road, is free to attend and will feature several vendors from local craftsman to direct sales representatives.

Monica Palmer, who operates the business with her husband Phillip, said the event will also feature items from Steve and Jody’s Auction Services. Palmer said the business usually schedules an outdoor event on a monthly event. For more information, contact Monica at 898-1008.

Friends and Lovers Valentine’s Day

 If going to the movie’s simply won’t do it for Valentine’s Day, area residents are invited to the ‘Friends and Lovers Valentine’s Day’ show on Sunday at the Santa Rosa County Auditorium, located at 4530 Spikes Way in Milton. In addition to the food, comedy skits and live music, singer Craigh Franklin said the event will focus on relationships involving all of the emotions and how to keep a relationship healthy through spiritual faith. Tickets, which are $35 for an individual or $60 for a couple, are available online at http://bit.ly/1T12hGZ or you can purchase tickets at CreativeGeneAcademy in Milton, located at 6208 U.S. 90 in Milton before Friday. The show begins at 6 p.m.

To Pensacola with Love

On Friday night, the Choral Society of Pensacola will host ‘To Pensacola with Love’ at the Pensacola Museum of Art, located 407 S. Jefferson Street. In addition to featuring an array of sweets, champagne or sparkling punch, the event will feature artwork from more than 500 students in EscambiaCounty.

According to the event’s Facebook page, the evening will feature live music from local talent including vocalists Susan Brak, Lela Hammock and Joshua McLamb, guitarists Beau Buck and Liko Crump, and pianists Ila Brown and Leah Yelverton, as well as the Choral Society Women's Ensemble.

Proceeds from the event will support upcoming choral society concerts including outreach programs to area libraries, hospitals and retirement facilities.
