Olivet Baptist Church Dental Bus

Olivet Baptist Church on Dogwood Drive in Milton will arrive the week of March 7-11. Appointments are assigned on a first come first serve basis as appointment times are limited.

The Dental Bus provides services for fillings and extractions to those in the community needing dental assistance. In order to take advantage of the services, registrations must be made Monday, Feb. 22 beginning at 9 a.m. in Olivet Baptist’s Fellowship Hall, located on the north end of the campus. Warrior Ride Tour de Sunshine

The Warrior Ride® “Tour de Sunshine” – Opening Ceremony will be Thursday, February 25 at 9:30 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial Plaza in Downtown Milton. The Compassionate Friends

The Pensacola Chapter of The Compassionate Friends invites bereaved parents, siblings, relatives and friends to register now for our Third Annual “Walk to Remember” Saturday, March 19th at 9 a.m. The local walk will be held at Pensacola State College Track (Main Campus).  Following the event there will be brief memorial service. You do not need to be a member of The Compassionate Friends to join with us and you do not need to walk the full walk. We welcome everyone who wants to join hands and hearts in remembering all children who have died too soon. Vegetable Gardening Series for Beginners

A workshop for beginner gardeners will be held on Tuesday evenings from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. beginning March 1 – 15 at the UF/IFAS Extension Santa Rosa County, 6263 Dogwood Drive, Milton. The GTCC Bridge Club begins February 1st from 1 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. The club will meet every Monday. The club is party-style and partners are encouraged. There is no cost to play. Color Vibe 5K Run

The Color Vibe 5K Run will be held at the Vince J. Whibbs Maritime Park Amphitheatre located at 301 W. Main Street, Pensacola beginning at 9 a.m. Registration can be completed online at www.thecolorvibe.com. This year Color Vibe will donate to the American Diabetes Association.

Gulf Coast Kiln Walk Society

The Gulf Coast Kiln Walk Society, Inc. will be hosting the 10th Annual Woodstoke Pottery and Kiln Festival on Saturday, Feb. 6.  The event will be held at the Anagama kiln site on the corner of Highway 87 and Buckeye Drive in Holley, (7 miles north of Navarre).  The event starts at 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. Two historical wood-fueled kilns will be unloaded during the festival unveiling creations for many different potters.  A Seafood Gumbo and casserole cook-off will be a part of this year's festivities.  Prizes will be awarded for the best gumbos, seafood casseroles and cornbread.  Sample the seafood and receive a bowl for only $10.  Chili will also be served by the Santa Rosa Arts and Culture Foundation for a donation.
