UPDATE: Shooting incident in Bagdad leaves one person dead

Investigators with the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office have identified Raymond Allen Everett, 57, as the deceased victim from Sunday's shooting incident which took place in Bagdad.

 According to the sheriff’s office, Everett resides on the same street where he and the other victim were found wounded from a shooting incident. Everett succumbed to injuries sustained in the incident after being transported to a nearby hospital.

The second victim involved is expected to survive after also being shot several times. Due to the ongoing investigation, the identity of the second victim has not been released at this time.

The sheriff’s office has confirmed there are persons of interest in this investigation.

An early morning shooting incident in Bagdad on Sunday has left one person dead, according to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office.

According to a SRSO press release, the sheriff’s office received a call about the shooting, which occurred in the area of Woodville Road. Deputies found two individuals who sustained gunshot wounds at a residence located in the 4200 block of Woodville Road. Both were taken to local hospitals for treatment.

 One of the two individuals died following the incident, according to the sheriff’s office. The name of the adult male victim will not be released until family has been notified.

This incident is currently being investigated by the sheriff’s office and more information will be released as it becomes available.
