Recently, Chumuckla Elementary students invited their grandparents to the Annual Grandparent Breakfast. According to Jo Barrow, Sodexo Cafeteria manager, the school served 250 people including guest and students. Barrow said, “This is the largest group served over the years.” The selection of food for breakfast was dry cereal, milk, toast, eggs, sausage patty and grits. Spiced apples topped off the meal.

“What a nice morning for all and I feel everyone was well pleased with the service and meal,” said Jane Simmons, grandmother of Allyssa Simmons, 3rd grade at Chumuckla School.

Following the meal, a slide show featuring a large number of students had the opportunity to tell why they love their grandparents.

Leaving the cafeteria, many of the attendees went to the annual book fair.
