Marcie Hickman is Dragonfly's Artist of the Month

Marcie Hickman's work can be viewed at the Dragonfly Art Gallery on Caroline Street in Milton.

Marcie Hickman describes herself as a God made mother of 3, wife, home manager, supervisor, chef, teacher, cheerleader, nurse, gardener, housekeeper, animal lover, and photographer.  Taking pictures of God’s creation, she said, and sharing them with others is one of her many joys in life.  Whether it be clouds flying, the sun rising/setting, birds eating, bugs pollinating, flowers blooming, trees blowing, skies storming, lightning crackling, or kids playing, Hickman said she enjoys photographing action and nature of any kind. “One of my favorite candid, unsuspecting shots to capture is the look on a groom’s face when he first sees his bride,” she said, “and when I am not outside capturing life’s moments on camera, I am inside cooking, cleaning, and organizing my household, playing games while enjoying a good cup of coffee or movie with family and friends.”

Hickman’s work is on display at the Dragonfly Art Gallery located on Caroline Street in downtown Milton. For more information call 981-1100.
