BOCC should ask God for wisdom in dealing with the courthouse

Dear Editor,

Before I could express my displeasure to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC)  messing again with the location of the courthouse, I read an article in the local paper regarding a new plan to keep the judicial center downtown. Thank God!

Thanks to Lane Lynchard and Jayer Williamson with guts to honor the vote of the people way back. I recall Rob Williamson in favor thereof early on when asked by me. BOCC, stop delaying progress. We don’t need another vote. The people have spoken. Get on with it. Ask God for wisdom in the implementation thereof. Politics be gone. If I’m not mistaken, the BOCC are Christians. The latter are admonished to ask wisdom of God. He gives liberally to all who ask. I suggested you do that in a letter to the editor when Mayor Thompson appointed a committee to provide an estimate of the situation. That committee did an excellent job. Again, I say, ask wisdom of God instead of ‘leaning to thine own understanding.’ He wants to bless us with a much needed facility. So, dear bretheren, as commanded I love you all but please delay no longer. Thanks to Brian Watkins, city manager too. His helpful input regarding the city’s commitment to cooperate with the countywill be a great witness, albeit an unusual happening, praise God. God bless us all as only He can. Maranatha.
