The first meeting of the Azalea Garden Club of Pace took place October 12 in Dawson’s Nook of Alyssa’s Antiques. Temporary acting officers were announced. President: Sandra Sherman; Vice President/Treasurer: Jean Rognstad; and Secretary: Margie Baldwin were all designated to serve as acting officers. All three have received their Master Gardener training in various past years and all have served as officers of their respective garden clubs and/or circles. After incorporation, elections will be held for official representation with the intent of joining the Florida Federation of Garden Clubs, the Deep South Region of Garden Clubs and the National Garden Club, Inc. to access greater resources of knowledge, materials and experience availed by their affiliation. The next month’s meeting is scheduled for Monday, November 9th, 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. Location will be announced if other than Dawson’s Nook inside Alyssa’s Antiques on 4586 Chumuckla Hwy.
