In addition to spreading awareness, the campaign also honors fallen DEA Agent Enrique “KiKi” Camarena, who was tragically killed at age 37 while pursuing to expose illegal drug activities. “Agent Camarena had a vision of a drug free America, the young marines share that vision,” Martin said at Tuesday’s council meeting. “Red Ribbon week is an opportunity to keep that vision alive.”
