Panhandle Community Theatre

Panhandle Community Theatre is holding auditions for their upcoming production “Best Christmas Pageant Ever” October 13, 15 and 17 at 4646 Woodbine Road, Pace.  Audition times are at 6 p.m. on the 13th and 15th and 2 p.m. on the 17. This is a cold reading from the script. PCT is seeking 2 males, 8 females, 9-16 children plus extras. Production dates for the play is December 3-6 at the ImogeneTheatre in Milton. Avalon Beach Property Owner’s Association

The Avalon Beach Property Owner’s Association will meet Tuesday, October 13 at 7 p.m. at  the Mulat Fire Station on Mulat Road. All property owners living in the area north of I-10 and south of Cyanimid Road between Mulat Road and the Interstate, east and west of Avalon are invited and encouraged to attend. Piecemakers Quilt Guild of Milton

The Piecemakers Quilt Guild of Milton will meet on October 12 and 26 at 9:15 a.m. at the Santa Rosa County Library on Alabama Street in Milton. Santa Rosa Tea Party Patriots

The Santa Rosa Tea Party Patriots will have Tappie Villane, Santa RosaCounty’s Supervisor of Elections as a guest speaker Monday, October 12 at 6 p.m. The party will meet at the Pace Community Center located on Chumuckla Highway in Pace. For more information contact Sharon Glass at 287-3762.

Santa Rosa Art Association

The Santa Rosa Art Association, Inc. announces its application process for the 2015-2016 Teacher Grant Awards and its Teacher Benefactor Program.  The Association gives grants of up to $250 for individual teachers or teacher teams of any discipline who teach in Santa RosaCounty.   Public school, as well as private and home school teachers are eligible.   

Funds for the grants derive from the Association's Teacher Benefactor Program.  The association asks members of the community to become a part of  art education in Santa RosaCounty.  Individuals, church groups, community organizations and businesses are asked to sponsor these grants at bronze ($10), silver ($25), gold ($50) or platinum ($100 or above) levels. Santa Rosa County Democrats

Milton Garden Club

The Milton Garden Club and Lowes invite all to a Fall Gardening Workshop on Saturday, October 10 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.  The workshop is a participating event in the Santa Rosa County Beaches to Woodlands Tour. Navarre Garden Club

The Navarre Garden Club's "Landscape Design Series" will begin Oct.12.  The six part series will continue until Dec. 7th.  Classes will be held at the Elks Lodge from 10 a. m. to 1 p.m.  with 2 evening classes from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m.

This series is an overview of landscape design principles.  It is for individuals who want a new landscape plan or those who want to make changes.  Classes will encompass  general style, hardscapes, irrigation, trees and bushes, lawns and beds, and specialty garden.   Each class will consist of 1½ hour lecture with a 45 minute hands-on workshop working on your design.

Cost is $20 for an individual class or $90 for the series of 6 classes.  Couples wishing to attend pay half price for the partner.  For more information or to register call Ginger at 396-5494 or hort@navarregardenclub.org.

The club will again sponsor "Santa's Workshop Craft Fair" on Nov 21 at the NavarreConferenceCenter from 9-3.  We are inviting anyone who wishes to offer goods for sale to reserve a table inside, or a booth the size for a tent outside.  The inside 5' tables are available for $40 and 6' tables for $45.  The outside spaces are available for $40 and will accommodate a 10'x10' tent.  For more information and applications, please call Ginger at 396-5494, or email geisele@mchsi.com.

The Milton High School (MHS) Class of 1965 is holding its 50th Class Reunion celebration on
