Pea Ridge Elementary School held a Red, White, and Blue parade on September 11 consisting of roughly 100 kindergarten students walking the hallways in patriotic garb with signs for their classes and others showing “USA.” Patriotic music played, but the first through fifth grade classes lining the hallways clapped and cheered and chanted “USA!” so much it was hard to hear. Principal Dana Fleming said the parade focused on heroes and not the 9/11 attack.
