Navarre Garden Club Membership Meeting

The Navarre Garden Club with hold a general membership meeting on Sept. 1.    The meeting will be held at The Club at Hidden Creek.  The meeting begins at 9 a.m.  This is the first general meeting after the club's summer hiatus. Guest speakers are a part of each monthly meeting.  September's guest speaker is Chuck Pohlmann.  His topic will be "Water Quality in the Sound."

 Many activities for members are scheduled throughout September.  Members may participate in the Green Thumb plant sales, an arts and crafts group, floral design group and a horticulture study group during the month. Santa Rosa Adult School now holding classes

Santa RosaAdultSchool is offering adult education classes, including adult high school completion, adult basic education, and GED® preparation now. We also offer adult English Language classes. For the low tuition fee of $30.00 per term, students may attend daytime classes in Milton or night classes in Navarre.  For the low tuition fee of $30.00 per term, students may attend classes in Milton, Pace, or Navarre. Both day and evening classes are provided, depending on the location. Enrollment is open enrollment so students can enroll at any time.  Call 983-5710 for details.

Dragonfly Art Gallery Calls for Entries

on September 4th the Dragonfly Gallery will host a show titled Art By The Square Foot. The show will be judged and prizes will be awarded. We encourage all Dragonfly artists and artists from the community to participate. We encourage all media of paint, drawing, photography, collage and clay to be involved.

The fee to enter the show is $20 per artist. Each can hang up to 3 pieces of work for that price. If an artist would like to have additional work hung the fee will be $5.00 for each additional piece. All work must be exactly 12" x 12" frame included.

Capstone Academy

The Capstone Academy Milton Campus Charter School Board of Director’s meeting will be Tuesday, August 25 at 12 p.m., meeting at Capstone Adaptive Learning and Therapy Centers, Inc. 2912 North E Street, Pensacola. The meetings are open to the public. For more information call 432-1596.

Santa Rosa Art Association

Santa Rosa Art Association meets Aug 22 at the PensacolaState College/ Milton Campus, building 4900 from 9 to 12:30 a.m. All artist are invited to attend and bring what you are working on. The yearly dues are only $30, and $10 for students, grade 7-12.

Piecemakers Quilt Guild

The Piecemakers Quilt Guild of Milton meets on the 2nd and the 4th Monday of the month. The next meeting will be August 24 at 9:15 a.m., at the Santa RosaCounty library,  5541 Alabama Street, Milton.  The meeting is open to any one interested in quilting.  Each month the quilt guild usually has a program and/or a sit and sew following the meeting.   For more information email Piecemakersmilton@yahoo.com or  contact Lane at 686-2826.

2015 Bon Fest

On Saturday, August 29 the 2015 Bon Fest will be held at WoodlandHeightsResourceCenter at 111 Berkeley Avenue, Pensacola.
