Yard waste pick up service is available at no extra charge to Santa RosaCounty residents with curbside household garbage service provided by ECUA, Waste Management or Waste Pro and who do not live in a city’s limits. To use this service, yard waste must be containerized or bundled and be no more than 50 lbs. each. Items not placed in containers, bundles or bags and/or are too heavy, will not be picked up and must be disposed of by residents at their own expense.
To utilize curbside yard waste pick up service:
- Place leaves, pine straw, grass, and small limbs at the curb the day before one of your two monthly designated yard debris pickup days in a container or a plastic bag.
- Bundle or tie together limbs and branches. Bundles should be about the size of a trash container or small water heater and no more than 50 lbs. Tree limbs are limited to no greater than six feet long and six inches in diameter.
- Be sure to place items on the curb so they do not block traffic.
- Home owners who use landscape services should ensure that the removal and disposal of yard waste generated by their contractor is included in the cost of services from their landscaper.
