Sheriff’s Office seeks missing endangered Navarre woman

 The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a missing and endangered Navarre woman.

According to a press release from the sheriff’s office, Lisa Jacobs Thornton, 48, was last seen by her family at 11 p.m. on August 1.

The family of Thorton stated Lisa left her cell phone, purse and other personal items including a list of her medications at her residence. Authorities believe Thornton left the residence in a silver BMW, which was later located on Interstate 10 near mile marker 38. Officials said there is no indication of foul play involved at either her residence or the vehicle.

The press release states Thornton does have “ties to south Florida.”

 In addition to needing her medication, Thornton is also believed to have left her home with a weapon.

Thornton is described as a white female with black hair and brown eyes. She is listed as five foot six inches tall.
