A Milton woman was charged with aggravated battery Thursday morning after dispatch was called about a man being stabbed in the right rib and losing a lot of blood, said Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office reports. Stephanie Leigh Miller, 21, was detained after deputies arrived at the scene. Reports said Miller told deputies she and the victim had an argument because he called her a name and he slapped her so she picked up a knife and held it up. Reports said Miller also told deputies the victim came towards her and into the knife. Miller said it was self defense. Deputies also report there were no marks on Miller which could be seen at the time of quesioning. The victim could not answer questioning as he was in pain. He was taken by ambulance to a responding helicopter. Miller was taken to Santa Rosa County Jail and was given no bond.
