The 45th annual Bill Hargreaves Fishing Rodeo, held on Father's Day weekend at the Grand Lagoon Yacht Club, awarded Trevor Murdy of Milton a kayak. The kayak, sponsored by Harbor View Marine, is the Junior Division grand prize and is awarded to the angler weighing the heaviest croaker. Trevor's croaker weighed in at 1.4 lbs.
The family Rodeo, benefiting Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northwest Florida, boasts 31 Junior division categories (12 and under), with a first place prize in each category, and 26 Open division categories, with 1st and 2nd place prizes for each category. New this year was a Coastal Elevator pelagic grand prize of $1,000, awarded to the angler with the most aggregate points from the dolphin, wahoo, tuna and King Mackeral categories.
