Breakfast with the Mayor scheduled for Saturday

City of Milton Mayor Wesley Meiss wants to encourage citizens to join him for the second ‘Breakfast with the Mayor’ event scheduled for this Saturday from 8 a.m. to 10 at the West Florida Train Museum. Meiss said the ‘Breakfast’ events will occur at train museum on the first Saturday of each month.

Meiss said 14 attended the first ‘Breakfast’ event last month and several topics were discussed.

“There was a diverse set of questions, concerns and suggestions,” Meiss said in an email. “Topics included Milton’s business development projects, the SRC Courthouse, Hwy 90’s PD&E Study, Milton Historic District improvements, City road/infrastructure improvements, budget questions, Sunday alcohol sales, Milton’s potential splash pad location and Milton’s recycling program.”

Among the attendees for the first time event included a local business owner and a manager from a major retail store, Meiss said.

“I am excited to meet with locals to collaborate and find positive solutions to the questions and concerns of the City of Milton,” Meiss said.

In addition to listening to the concerns, comments and questions from the citizen’s of Milton, the Mayor will also have baked goods from the Milton Bakery and coffee available.
