Santa Rosa County 4-H is now accepting registration for Camp Timpoochee Overnight Camp.
The Santa Rosa County 4-H program offers several camping opportunities for youth.
Both local day camps as well as overnight (residential) camps are available. Many overnight camps take place at the Timpoochee 4-H Center in Niceville, FL.
This week-long residential camp is held annually at 4-H Camp Timpoochee on the Choctawhatchee Bay, 8 miles east of Niceville, FL. Typical camp activities include: swimming, canoeing, kayaking, nature hikes, team building, crafts, fishing, marine explorations, and snorkeling. This camp is for youth ages 8 -12. Older teens (13 -14 years old) may be counselors-in training, and teens 15 and older may serve as counselors upon completion of counselor training. Cost (including all meals, canteen snacks, t-shirt, and transportation) is $230.00. The cost of camp for those who qualify for free/reduced lunches is $200.00.
