Look your best in fine leather

The most dazzling rings start with diamonds. The most luxurious scarves start with silk. Now in Milton, there’s a place residents can go for the best material in clothing: Leather 4 U, at 6422 Highway 90. Nothing beats the smell, the feel, and the weight of real leather. Dee Rouse and Esther Murray, owners of the leather shop, got into the business in 1959 in Wisconsin. They’ve brought over five decades of experience to offer Santa Rosa County quality leather goods, leather repair, and customer leather orders.

From head to toe, Murray said they serve doctors, lawyers, merchants and chiefs. Leather 4 U offers leather hats, jackets, vests, belts, chaps, and moccasins. That’s not all. Leather 4 U has wallets, pouches, purses, rain gear, knife sheathes, gun holsters, and belts through the size 60s.

Rouse said Leather 4 U repairs anything of leather, but they don’t make house calls. Bring in golf bags, purses, and Bible covers, and Murray and Rouse will put their experience to use repairing them.

Leather 4 U also offers large leather swatches and a myriad of leatherworking tools for crafty people to  make their own leather items.

Rouse said by the middle of June, Leather 4 U will open their expansion, effectively doubling the size of the store. In Pensacola, customers can still find Leather 4 U at their retail location in the building of the T&W Flea Market. Store hours are Tuesday through Friday 10:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Shoppers can also find the store online at www.leather4-u.com
