Florida Master Gardener Mike Burba is shown on the left receiving the Milton Pride tag holder from Sunrise Kiwanis President John Stone. Mr. Burba, a Master Gardener for the past five years, went through the Master Gardener program at the county extension office after moving to the area, not knowing anything about local plants and their enemies. He explained the program was created in 1972 with the state of Florida setting up their Master Gardeners program in 1979. For help with lawns, trees and plants the Milton Extension Office is on Dogwood and their phone number is 623-3868. Santa Rosa Sunrise Kiwanis welcomes all to their Wednesday 7 a.m. breakfast meeting at Tanglewood Golf Course.
