For the seventh year, the doctors and staff of Advanced Dental Care Concepts Inc. in Pace will be offering a day of free dental care on April 24 to those in need of a dental cleaning, a tooth filling or a tooth extraction.
“It is very worthwhile,” said Diane Masaitis, the business administrator for Advanced Dental. “There are several (dental) programs out there for children, but not too many programs for adults.”
The dental care provider will have staff and doctors available in order to assist the first 150 adults on a first come, first serve basis. Participants must be age 18 or older.
Those interested do not need to prove their financial status in order to partake in the dental services, Masaitis said. These services are not only available to those without a regular dental health provider but for those living on a limited income.
“It can cost around $200 to get a tooth pulled,” Masaitis said. “Some people just don’t have that money to spend.”
There are no requirements in order to receive the dental services other than bringing identification and signing in, Masaitis said.
Like in previous free dental events, Masaitis said attendees would camp outside the dental office the night before the event in order to make sure they receive the free dental services. She even said individuals from outside the county travel in order to participate.
Masaitis said the business will continue offer the program on an annual basis.
