Atchley to graduate with Ph.D. in Spanish

Eugene and Deborah Cates would like to announce the graduation of their daughter, Patricia Atchley, from Florida State University on May 1, 2015. Patricia will be graduating with her Ph.D. in Spanish. Her studies have focused on second language acquisition and second language instruction.

Patricia graduated class of 2001 from Milton High School and moved to Tallahassee to go to college. She began her career as a Spanish teacher at Chiles High School in Tallahassee shortly after graduating with her BA degree in Spanish. She has been a graduate student and Spanish instructor at FSU for the last 5 years and will continue to do what she loves once she graduates.

Patricia is also a wonderful wife and mother. Her three beautiful children (Simon, Mason, and Laney) and her husband, Matt, along with her parents and extended family, are tremendously proud of her accomplishments.
