Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office reports Stephen Richmond Rice, Jr., 44, was found dead in his home on Persimmon Hollow Road in Milton after deputies responded to a welfare check Thursday evening. Reports said it was evident Rice's body had been there for an undetermined amount of time. An autopsy will be performed and the SRSO are actively investigating this death as a homicide.
