This week Pace resident Samantha LaPorta walked the red carpet at Nashville Universe Awards. It was her first awards show in her young music career and she made the top five, she said. LaPorta said she was nominated for rising star out of 100 artists. LaPorta said she was thrilled about being able to have this exciting experience. LaPorta said she was also nominated for New Teen Artist and Music Video award at the New Country Music Award event in May. LaPorta is known for her first recording "Suburban White Trash."
