Training Air Wing FIVE announced their Instructor of the Quarters Feb. 5 for the first quarter 2015. The Commodore of Training Air Wing FIVE, Colonel Gary Kling, awarded the Training Air Wing FIVE Instructor of the Quarter and addressed the nominees. He referred to the group as the “center of gravity” at the largest naval flight training operation in the world.

Lt. Hill, HT-18 Active rotary wing
Lt. Sivers, HT-18 Reserve rotary wingone reserve flight instructor who exemplified a dedication to safe, high-quality flight instruction.
Twelve nominees were selected from a large pool of highly qualified fixed-wing and rotary-wing pilots serving as instructors at Naval Air Station Whiting Field, Florida. The awardee was announced during a ceremony at Training Air Wing FIVE.
The three fixed-wing and three rotary-wing training squadrons each nominated one active-duty and one reserve flight instructor who exemplified a dedication to safe, high-quality flight instruction.The nominees for Instructor of the Quarter were:
