Local firefighters responded to a fire on Quiet Creek Road in Milton on Friday, in which two structures including a home and barn were engulfed in the blaze, according to a press release from the Florida Forest Service.
The cause of the fire is currently under investigation by the Office of Agricultural Law Enforcement and the state fire marshal’s office, the release said.
In addition to first response crews from the forest service, fire crews from Munson, Whiting Field, Skyline, Harold, Berrydale, Allentown and Baker responded to the fire, which reportedly began around 11:30 a.m. and was contained at an estimated two acres.
