Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office reports Joshua Shaun Stewart, 26, Navarre, was arrested for sexual battery on a person 18 years or older Thursday. Reports said statements were taken from the victim and evidence was reviewed.
Arrest reports said the victim told deputies the incident happend an hour before contacting authorities. Deputies said the victim came in contact with Stewart after being at a party and needed a ride home. Reports said the victim accepted the ride from Stewart. Reports said both the victim and Stewart had been drinking and the incident happened in the vehicle.
A SRSO press release said on November 4, 2014, Stewart was arrested on a separate case for sexual assault (12 YOA/Older) involving a juvenile. The case is still pending and reports said, according to the State Attorney's Office, the $500,000 bond issued will be revoked.
