Pace wrestling places first in Panhandle Championship

The Pace High School Wrestling team placed first in the Panhandle Championship tournament last weekend at Mosley High School in Panama City. Nine wrestlers from team took home medals from the tournament.

·         Brendan Lugo took second place in the 106 lb. weight class

·         Kevin Green took fourth place in the 113 lb. weight class

·         Leland Knoch took second place in the 120 lb. weight class

·         Kiefer Bangham took second place in the 126 lb. weight class

·         Anthony Krevatas took third in the 138 lb. weight class

·         Blake Tressler took fourth place in the 145 lb. weight class

·         Sullivan Gerlits took second place in the 160 lb. weight class

·         Murphy Bennett took fourth place in the heavy weight class.

In addition to taking first place in the 152 lb. weight class, Tyler Bradley was also awarded as ‘Outstanding middleweight Wrestler’ at the event. The PHS wrestling team will be hosting Milton in competition on Friday night during their Senior Night. On Saturday the PHS junior varsity wrestling team will compete at Niceville High School.
