The West Florida baseball team ranked No. 35 in the preseason Collegiate Baseball national poll. The Argonauts ranked in the top 10 of the poll for the majority of the 2014 season before dropping to No. 30 in the final poll last year.
Defending national champion Southern Indiana was the No. 1 team in the country followed by No. 2 Tampa, No. 3 Lander, No. 4 Seton Hall and No. 5 Colorado Mesa.
From the South Region, Florida Southern ranked No. 16, followed by No. 20 Lynn, No. 21 Alabama Huntsville, No. 30 Delta State and No. 37 Lee.
UWF finished the 2014 season 34-11 overall and 22-7 in Gulf South Conference play. Three Argos were selected in the 2014 MLB Draft.
