The West Florida Baptist Academy Lady Conquerors defeated S.L. Jones Christian Academy Lady Warriors Tuesday night in Pensacola 59 to 38.
The Lady Conquerors started hot, leading the 1st quarter 16 to 7, then 34 to 16 at the half.
SLJCA Lady Warriors rallied for 16 points in the 3rd quarter, starting with 11 unanswered points, all from the hands of Raven Anderson (21 points total). With their lead trimmed to 7, the Conquerors rallied, spreading 17 points between 4 players.
The Conqueror defense stifled the Warriors in the last quarter and the Conqueror offense was able to convert free throws and drain the clock to secure the victory.
Three Lady Conquerors finished in double digits: Havii Berry 21, Ashtyn Kaunitz 20 and Esther Burdick 16. Ashtyn also recorded a double-double with 11 assists.
