City of Milton Mayor Wesley Meiss and Lauren Leigh Basford married December 20 at St. Luke United Methodist Church in Pensacola. The couple had their wedding reception at Imogene Theatre in Milton. Wesley is a graduate from University of West Florida and is currently working on a Masters Degree in History. He is employed at Hobbs Middle School in Milton where he teaches 8th grade history. His parents are Mike and Roxanne Meiss of Milton. Lauren graduated from University of West Florida and is currently working on a Masters Degree in History. She is employed with Brown Barge Middle School in Pensacola. The bride’s parents are Patrick and Brenda Basford of Pensacola. The couple are honeymooning at Pensacola Beach Hilton and on to Tennessee.
