Hello this is Dale. I just got a notice in the mail from a trash company saying they have the exclusive right to do business in my area. I need to make an arrangement with them for service. The former trash company I had was fine is now out, I guess. This is thankful to the Santa Rosa County Commissioners that set this up. Is this welcome to communism? Will they be telling us where to get our gas now? Which grocery store I’m allowed to go to? This is absolutely uncalled for. If we’re down to this level we just need to get rid of the commissioners all together. What happened to freedom of choice?

Hey this is Dennis Dean. When I was in the Army, I met a girl from Boston. I flew up there in 1976 and I spent a week with her and her family. Her dad was a real character. He told me during WWII he was in the Italian Army fighting in North Africa. He was captured and imprisoned in the northeast in America. Once the war was over he was told he could return to Italy but he asked to stay in America and they let him. He told me he was treated better as an American prisoner than he was in the Italian army. He married an American girl and raised his family here.

This is Dale and I have noticed and I’m not impressed with the new mini papers. You guys need to maintain your quality or I’m going to start looking around for another newspaper.

Yes, I would just like to compliment the city on the new sidewalks they’ve built and put the wheelchair metal non skid ramps where the wheelchairs can get on. We have a lot of people who drive electric scooters. The complaint I have is about the black pick up truck every Sunday morning who blocks the sidewalk off next to the church. We have a lady and a man who have to get in the road who has to get on the road. He’s breaking the law. Show consideration.

This is Judy. I’d like to say this to the county commissioners. I liked my trash collector just fine. You’ve taken away my right to use the company I want and that, to me, is socialism.
