Team Remedy attended a tournament in Jackson, MS Saturday and came away with five medals.  Lead instructor Tra Alidor said the tournament was a fundraiser for an at risk youth jiu jitsu program called Vector Jiu-Jitsu. Alidor said, “We brought three guys making the 4-hour trip to compete and brought home three first-place golds, one second place silver, and 1 bronze. Two members, Austin Ritcheson and Jonathan Thrasher, closed out the eight-man absolute weight division and ended up fighting each other for the trophy and cash prize,” Alidor said. He added, between the two, Ritcheson came out on top. While not 100 percent on attending yet, Alidor said Team Remedy is eyeing a Lakeland event January 10.
