Pace defeats Milton in Boys Basketball, 49-36

Pace High School defeated Milton High School in boys basketball on Friday night, 49-36.

This victory brings Pace’s win-loss record to 5-4 and Milton’s record to 0-10 for the season.

MHS Coach Hank Hullett said the team needs to finish a game in order to get their first victory.

“We played hard,” Hullett said. “We just need to find a way to finish a game.”

Senior classman Ed Fountain is credited with scoring the most points for MHS with 15.

For Pace, Coach Carl Pippin said Friday night’s performance was “outstanding.”

“We did a good job defensively,” Pippin said. “We were very unselfish on offense.”

Senior Travis Decker score 12 points in the matchup, while Jahmiah Simmons scored 10 points with 15 rebounds. Torrey Lawson score 9 points with 10 rebounds.

On Wednesday, the Pace basketball team will travel to Orlando and compete in the KSA basketball tournament. On Tuesday, Milton will play at Pensacola High School. The game starts at 7:30p.m.
