
The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking any information regarding a pedestrian fatality in Navarre on Sunday morning.
According to a FHP press release, Navarre resident Elizabeth R. Ruhland, 32, was fatally struck by a white, mid-size van on Panhandle Trail.
The vehicle veered off the shoulder of northbound Panhandle Trail, when it struck Ruhland. The vehicle, with front end damage, also struck a street sign and mailbox before fleeing the scene. The vehicle did not return.
The vehicle was last seen traveling north on Panhandle Trail then onto Deer Lane, the release stated.
