Milton resident Jeremy Cain Martin, 33, is facing multiple felony charges following a violent incident earlier this week.
According to an arrest report from the Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office, Martin is facing charges of aggravated battery, robbery, drug possession and obstruction of justice following an incident on Tuesday.
In the report, Martin visited a Pace residence and demanded medication. The identity of the Pace resident and relationship to Martin was not disclosed in the report.
The resident told Martin ‘no’ and to leave the residence.
After Martin became agitated, the resident slapped Martin in fear of safety, the report stated.
Deputies said Martin then became ‘infuriated’ and began breaking items around the residence including flipping over a piece of furniture and knocking a space heater from its stand striking another individual on the right side of their face.
While the resident attempted to contact law enforcement via cell phone, reports said Martin took the cell phone and threw it on the ground causing it to break and render it useless.
Reports said out of fear for their personal safety, the resident gave Martin one Oxycodone pill and three to four Xanax pills. Martin then left the residence shortly after receiving the pills.
The property owner did estimate $100 in property damage, but did not wish to pursue charges against Martin, according to reports.
Reports said a deputy made contact with Martin about the written testimonies from the resident and the property owner at his Milton address. Without being questioned, reports said Martin then requested a lawyer, before the officer could read Martin his Miranda rights.
Deputies said Martin was taken into custody and placed at the Santa Rosa County Jail. While in custody, Martin was asked if he was prescribed any medications by a doctor. Martin responded “no,” the report stated.
Martin remains in custody at the Santa Rosa County Jail with a bond of $21,000.
