Amy Wilson named Chief Operating Officer at Sacred Heart

Amy D. Wilson, chief nursing officer (CNO) at Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, has been promoted to a dual role. In addition to serving as CNO, she has been named Chief Operating Officer at the hospital.

Wilson joined the Sacred Heart leadership team in 2012 as executive director of Medical/Surgical Nursing. In November 2012, she began serving in an interim capacity as CNO and was officially promoted to the position in early 2013. 

Prior to joining Sacred Heart, Wilson served as Director of Performance Improvement and Accreditation at The Children’s Hospital of Alabama in Birmingham and as the Director of the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Wilson also has significant experience as a Director of Quality Management and as a staff nurse in pediatrics and adult medical/surgical units.

Wilson earned a master’s of science degree in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and a bachelor’s of science in Nursing from the University of Alabama at Huntsville.
