18th Annual PSC Health Career Fair for high school students

More than 600 students from five counties are expected to attend the 18th annual Health Career Fair from 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 31, at the Pensacola State College Warrington Campus. Sponsored by PSC and West Florida Area Health Education Centers, the event provides a first-hand look at health career options for high school students from Escambia, Santa Rosa, Walton and Okaloosa Counties as well as Baldwin County, Ala. Baptist Hospital’s LifeFlight Helicopter and the Escambia County Mobile One Emergency Command Center will be on site for students to explore. Touching human lungs, delivering a simulation “baby” and assembling a puzzle of human body x-rays are some of the hands-on activities students will experience.

Students will rotate through 15 health career opportunities including physical therapy assisting, radiography, phlebotomy, nursing, EMT, sonography, dental hygiene, LifeFlight and Emergency Response Unit.
