National Friends of the Libraries Week

Join Santa Rosa County in celebrating and recognizing our Friends of the Libraries groups Oct. 19-25. The Friends of the Library are members of the community who selflessly devote their time and energy to raise money to support the Santa Rosa County Library System. Money raised by the Friends touches the lives of residents throughout the county by funding programs and events, including:

•           Performers, material, and refreshments for library programs

•           Decorations

•           Promotional materials

•           Summer reading program

•           Books, audiobooks, music CDs, and DVDs

•           Computer equipment

•           Additional shelving

Everyone is invited to visit their local Santa Rosa County Libraries this week in Gulf Breeze, Jay, Milton, Navarre and Pace to learn more about the week’s activities and to find out how to become a member of the Friends. If you can’t make it this week, please visit our website at www.SantaRosa.fl.gov/libraries or contact the library at 981-READ (7323) for additional information.  Now is the perfect time to join the Friends of the Library! Remember, its fun to be a friend!
